Boxharp Featured on David Bowie's Official Website

Following on from their inclusion in David Bowie’s list of current favourites (see ‘What’s On David Bowie’s Ipod’ in The Guardian), Boxharp once again find themselves in the great man’s spotlight. The band have now been featured on David Bowie’s official website showcasing both the track that featured on Bowie’s Ipod, ‘All These Deserters’, as well as their latest single ‘Rainbirds‘. All this comes ahead of the release of Boxharp’s stunning new EP Loam Arcane which is available on the 25th of February. Fans can freely download the first single taken from the EP, ‘Rainbirds’, at the Hidden Shoal Store. Fans can also stream a sneak peak of the new EP before it’s release at Boxharp’s Facebook Page.

City of Satellites’ debut album Machine Is My Animal has been receiving some attention over the past month, and rightfully so! Of late they have been reviewed on Luna Kafe, Drum Media, The Band Next Door and [sic] Magazine, with their music being described as everything from sci-fi rock to dream-pop, shoegazer and electronic-pop, reminiscent of the likes of M83.

Apricot Rail Scoops 78 Records Second Best Release of 2009

The magical awesomeness that is the 78 Records store in Perth recently named its top 5 releases of 2009 and our very own Apricot Rail found themselves sitting pretty at number 2, nestled between Isis and Grizzly Bear (mmm comfy!). Also in the list was the ever wonderful Umpire at number 5 who feature 3 members of our very own Mukaizake.
